The city is located at the central part of Bulgaria, at the South slopes of Stara planina (the Ancient mountain) at 360 metres altitude.
Hisar is connected to the national transport net while it is close to the Thrace Headway, as well as to the Balcan Headway. The city is 36 km away from Plovdiv and 160 km away from Sofia. |
